CXN Engineering, based in Costa Rica, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Privacy-related requests may be sent to info@cxnengineering.com. Candidate-related requests may also be sent to careers@cxnengineering.com.

Information we collect

When you contact CXN Engineering through the business contact form, we may receive your name, company, work email, phone number, inquiry type and message. When you join the CXN talent network, we may also receive your name, email, location, engineering field, experience level, LinkedIn profile, CV or portfolio link, availability and information about the type of opportunity you are seeking.

How and why we use information

We use business-contact information to evaluate and respond to inquiries, communicate about our services and take steps requested by a prospective client before entering into a business relationship. Depending on the circumstances, this processing may be based on steps taken at your request before a contract or on our legitimate interests in operating and developing our business.

Candidate information is used to understand professional profiles, evaluate potential fit for current or future opportunities and contact candidates about roles or assignments that may be relevant. For active opportunities, processing may be necessary to take steps at the candidate's request before entering into an engagement. Where we retain a profile for possible future opportunities, we rely on an appropriate lawful basis under applicable law and honor applicable rights to object, withdraw consent where consent applies, or request deletion.

We do not use information submitted through this website for unrelated advertising.

Whether providing information is required

Information marked as required in our forms is necessary for us to process the relevant inquiry or talent-network submission. If you do not provide required information, we may not be able to respond to your request or evaluate your profile.

Form processing

Business contact-form and talent-network submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form delivery provider acting on our behalf. Information submitted through these forms is transmitted to Formspree for processing and delivery to CXN Engineering. Formspree's own terms and privacy practices also apply to its processing activities.

Spam and abuse protection

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate users from automated abuse and spam. Turnstile processes limited technical signals needed to perform this security function and does not use the contents of form fields for that purpose. Cloudflare provides this service on our behalf.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or behavioral-tracking technologies. Security technologies such as Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited technical information necessary to protect forms against automated abuse. If non-essential analytics, advertising or marketing technologies are introduced in the future, consent will be obtained before activation where required by applicable law.

International data transfers

Some service providers used by this website may process information in countries other than the country where you are located. Where applicable, we use service providers that offer contractual or other safeguards intended to support lawful international transfers of personal data, including mechanisms recognized under applicable data-protection law.

Data retention

Business inquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain relevant business records and meet applicable legal or contractual obligations. Talent-network profiles may be retained for up to 24 months so that CXN Engineering can consider candidates for relevant future opportunities, unless the candidate requests earlier deletion or a longer period is required by applicable law or an active recruitment process.

Automated decision-making

CXN Engineering does not use solely automated decision-making or profiling through this website to make hiring or commercial decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Third-party links

This website links to third-party services such as LinkedIn. Once you follow an external link, the privacy practices of that third party apply.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and record-keeping requirements.
